Affordable Internet coming to Bakersfield mobile home communities

Bakersfield, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Kwikbit, a leading wireless broadband provider, is looking to bridge the digital divide in Bakersfield.

The provider launched its service Saturday, April 29 at Pioneer Pines Mobile Homes on Eucalyptus Drive.

Pioneer Pines residents are now able to be connected to 1 GBps internet.

Kwikbit offers free installation, a free first month, and no contract.

Customers can expect to pay $50 a month, or $20 if qualified for their Affordable Connectivity Program.

This launch is the company’s 25th park. They hope to serve more than 10,000 mobile home customers here in Kern County and serve over 350,000 across California.
